Tallvalls

More protein. Honestly declared.

Vanilla quark with 13 grams of protein per 100 grams. Lactose-free, no added sugar, smooth enough to eat straight from the cup. The number is printed largest on the front, so nobody has to turn the tub around.

A Swedish brand from Västerås looking for a long-term production partner in the EU. First listings planned across the Mälardalen region.

Why Tallvalls

Arla cut it.
We raised it.

In September, Arla reduced the protein in its best-selling vanilla quark from 9.7 to 8.8 grams per 100 grams, without lowering the price. Swedish shelves have been short of quark since March, and domestic capacity does not arrive until 2028. We started Tallvalls to fill that gap with one clear thing: more protein, openly declared, in a quark you can actually buy.

9.7 8.8Arla vanilla quark, protein per 100 g, cut in September 2026 with no price reduction.
+34 %Category growth in the first half of 2026. The shelves still empty out.
2028The year the first large Swedish quark plant is expected to open. Until then, most of it is imported.

The vision

One number, honestly declared. Everything else follows.

Tallvalls starts with a vanilla quark, but the brand is not a single product. It is a house brand for high-protein dairy, built on a promise anyone can check in two seconds: the protein figure is printed larger than our name, and it is always rounded down. Quark first, then the rest of the fridge. Nothing carries the name unless it earns it on that number.

Now

Quark first

Vanilla, 500 g, lactose-free, at launch. A second flavour and a 1 kg format follow once volume supports a second production run.

Next

The rest of the fridge

Cottage cheese, skyr and drinkable quark under the same promise. Products without a protein story do not belong under this name.

Always

Checkable

Every figure comes from accredited laboratory analysis, published on this site, and rounded down before it is printed. The claim is the product.

Go to market

We start where the decision is one conversation away.

Swedish grocery is dominated by three chains, and a central listing takes the better part of a year. Independent ICA retailers decide their own range themselves, in a single conversation. So that is where we begin, and we let real sell-through open the central doors afterwards.

01
Q1 2027Pilot
Ten to twenty independent ICA retailers across the Mälardalen region. Chilled third-party logistics from Västerås with weekly deliveries, shelf talkers in store, and geotargeted advertising within 20 km of every store that stocks us.
02
Q3 2027Regional
Forty stores. At this point the argument stops being a pitch and becomes data: rate of sale per store per week, repeat purchase, and what happens to the shelf when the number is the first thing a shopper sees.
03
Q1 2028Central listing
The listing windows at ICA, Coop and Axfood, entered with genuine sell-through behind the application rather than a concept. Supplier declarations, GS1 article data and certification are prepared in advance so nothing waits on paperwork.
04
BeyondRange
A second format and a second flavour, then the wider dairy range. Each step is funded by the previous one. We would rather grow one shelf at a time than buy distribution we cannot defend.
How we stand out

The category is growing. The marketing is not.

The established brands still sell quark as a dessert, to everyone. But the person buying it every week is buying protein, and turns the tub around to check. That is a marketing problem before it is a dairy problem, and marketing is the thing our group is actually built on.

The number does the selling

Printed larger than the brand name. No comparison needed, no turning the tub around, no arithmetic in the aisle. The decision takes one second.

We talk to the protein buyer

Not a broad dessert audience. The person comparing labels, tracking intake and mixing quark into everything, reached where they already are rather than through mass media.

Honest by construction

Rounded down, analysis published, comparisons dated and sourced. A brand that cannot be caught out does not have to spend its budget defending itself.

We move at e-commerce speed

A group used to testing creative, reading numbers weekly and scaling what works. That cadence is unusual in dairy, and it is the part competitors cannot copy quickly.

The company

A brand does not need a factory. It needs a company behind it.

Tallvalls is owned by Westros Digital Retail AB, a Swedish e-commerce group in Västerås. The group reached SEK 43.6 million in net turnover in its first full financial year, with a profit and an equity ratio of 79 per cent. That is who pays for the pallets, the artwork and the shelf space. It is also why we can commit to volume instead of asking a dairy to carry the launch risk with us.

Where the figures come from. Turnover, result and equity ratio for 2025 are taken from our filed annual accounts and can be checked against the public record at allabolag.se or Bolagsverket. The 2026 figure is our internal group plan for the current year, not a result. We label it that way here for the same reason we round the protein figure down: a number you cannot check is worth nothing to you.

How we work

Everything except the milk is already in house.

A dairy that works with us is not taking on a start-up that still has to find a designer, a photographer, an agency and a logistics partner before anything can be printed. Those functions already exist inside the group and already run every day for our own brands. This site is one example of it.

Brand and packaging

Artwork made here, print ready

Name, mark, sleeve layout, dielines and every face of the cup produced in house. The pack you can rotate on this page is our own 3D model, built to the real dimensions of a 500 g cup, not a stock render.

Web and digital

This site was built by our own team

Designed, coded and animated internally, including the 3D pack, the packaging textures and the Swedish version. No agency, no template, and no external invoice waiting to be approved before something can change.

Marketing

Paid media run daily, not outsourced

The group buys and measures paid social and search every day with its own reporting stack. Launch advertising will be written, bought and read by the same people, which is why we can promise a geotargeted push around every store that stocks us.

Retail and logistics

From your pallet to the shelf

Chilled third-party logistics in Västerås, weekly deliveries to store, and the article data, EAN codes, case configuration and supplier declarations Swedish retailers ask for before they will list anything.

Compliance

Label text written against the regulation

Mandatory particulars under Regulation 1169/2011, nutrition and health claims under 1924/2006 and 432/2012, an own-check programme, and a written specification you can quote against line by line.

Decisions

One decision maker

A quotation gets a reply the same day and a yes does not have to travel through a committee, a category board or a procurement cycle. For a dairy that is often the difference between a pilot this quarter and a pilot next year.

Made in house, on purpose. We put this much work into a site that only a few dozen people will read because it is the fastest honest way to show how the product itself will be handled.

Talk to us
For dairies

What we look for in a production partner.

We are a Swedish brand looking for a long-term contract manufacturer in the EU. We are not hunting the cheapest cup. We are looking for a dairy that can hold a specification, document it, and grow with us as the volume grows.

Product
Vanilla quark in a 500 g cup. Lactose-free, no added sugar, smooth and spoonable with no graininess.
Protein
Our target is 13 g per 100 g. Quote 11 g and 13 g, and tell us the highest level you can reach while keeping a smooth, spoonable texture.
Packaging
Your standard cup. Our sleeve or applied label, printed by you from our artwork or applied at our 3PL.
Volume
Pilot of one to two pallets, then roughly 96 000 cups across the first year as listings widen.
Compliance
BRC, IFS or FSSC 22000, EU plant approval number, accredited nutrition analysis and a shelf-life study.
Delivery
Chilled, DAP Västerås, at least 21 days of remaining shelf life on arrival, every two to three weeks.

The full brief with volumes, timeline and specification is sent on request. We decide ourselves and we answer email the same day.

Documentation

You get the paperwork before you ask for it.

Most enquiries a dairy receives are one paragraph and a hope. Ours arrives with the specification written, the label text checked against the regulation and the artwork finished. Everything below exists today and is sent as PDF on request.

Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass. A varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important.

Target values. The figures above are the specification we order against. Final values are set by the dairy's accredited laboratory analysis before print, and the analysis is published here. We always round the protein figure down.

The buyer

The person we sell to reads the back of the pack.

Quark is bought weekly, by the same people, on one number. They mix it into oats, shakes and cooking, so taste has to be good but rarely decides. Protein level and a smooth texture do. That matters to a producer for one reason: a category bought on a printed figure gives repeat purchase you can forecast, and it is why we can commit to a volume plan rather than hope for one.

A category sold on one number, to a buyer who checks it. That is demand you can plan a line around.

Route to market

From your pallet to the shelf.

Swedish grocery is three chains, and a central listing takes the better part of a year. Independent ICA retailers decide their own range themselves, in a single conversation. We start there, in the four towns below, with chilled third-party logistics in Västerås and weekly deliveries to store. You deliver to one address on a pallet. Everything after that is ours.
